Etosha National Park/Kunene Experience (7 Days)

Etosha National Park /Kunene Experience (7 Days)

Your exciting journey will kick off at Etosha National Park, after a long drive from Windhoek. This incredible park is home to the world's largest-growing population of black rhinos, as well as a variety of other impressive mammals. You'll be in great hands with an expert guide who will take you on an informative tour of the park over the next two days. You'll have the opportunity to see a range of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, blue wildebeest, mountain and plain zebras, hyenas, lions, and many species of birds. Cheetahs and leopards are also present, completing the trio of ‘big cats’. You can also spot antelope species ranging from kudu, gemsbok, and eland to the diminutive Damara dik-dik. Don't forget about the smaller mammals such as jackal, bat-eared fox, honey badger, warthog, and the ubiquitous ground squirrel that can also be seen. You'll spend the next two nights in Opuwo, a town that is a unique blend of ancient traditions and modern times, and the center of the Ovahimba culture. The Ovahimba are the last nomads of Namibia and entered northern Namibia during the 15th / 16th century from Angola. They are independent people with a rich cultural heritage. The last two days of your trip will take you to the beautiful Damaraland, where you'll see the breathtaking mountainous landscape of the Kunune Region. Your first stop will be at the Otjitotongwe Cheetah guest farm, located 24 km from Kamanjab. There, you'll be able to see the "Save the Cheetah" Project and enjoy other guided walks, while a light lunch will also be served. Your final night will be in Kamanjab. On Day 7, you'll head back to Windhoek feeling fulfilled after an amazing experience exploring the natural wonders and cultural heritage of Namibia.
